Evantage Teams Help Raise over $2000 for Operation Smile!

During the month of October, our team here at Evantage took the opportunity to help raise money and awareness for Operation Smile.  For over 30 years now, Operation Smile has provided over 200,000 surgeries across the world for facial deformities.  For as little as $240.00 and 45 minutes we can make a difference to change a child's life forever.

Evantage has helped support this cause in years past and have done different fundraising ventures such as, soccer tournaments, silent auctions, and now spend Saturday October 5th fundraising in the Frisco, TX community though events, B2B, and D2D fundraising initiatives.  Our team also raffled off an iPad on October 20th at our Southwest Regional Leaders Meeting that we hosted with offices throughout Texas and Oklahoma joining us.  We are excited to say that we were able to raise awareness as well as over $2000.00 in just those 2 days!

When asked, Evantage President, Chris Auwarter said, "I am so proud of our team and their willingness to help out others with needs.  We work hard to accomplish our personal goals on a daily basis, but we also need to remember to take time and give back to our community and those in needs.  It was a pleasure seeing how excited everyone who came out to these events were to give back some of their time on the weekend to make a difference in someone else's lives...someone they will probably never even meet."

Evantage, Inc. was founded in 2006, and has been an industry leader in outsourced sales and marketing in the Dallas area ever since.  They have expanded nationally to 14 offices, and continue to expand.

Evantage, Inc. New Corporate Headquarters

July 1st was an exciting day for Evantage, Inc. as they expanded to their new corporate headquarters in Plano, TX.  The new location is at 5800 Granite Parkway, Suite 210 Plano, TX 75024.  It is in building 2 of Plano's prestigious Granite Park. This location was chosen because of the easy access to major highways in North Dallas as well as the local amenities such as The Shops at Legacy and Stonebriar Center, which allows for great networking opportunities and a great quality of life outside the office for their team-members.

Since opening the doors in April of 2006, Evantage, Inc. has been been Dallas/Fort Worth's leader in the Sales and Marketing field.  Evantage has been able to expand nationally to 14 offices throughout Texas, North Carolina, California, Ohio, Colorado, Michigan, Kansas and Missouri.  The last seven years has brought great opportunities already, but the experience they have now, will make the future even brighter.

"We needed to expand to a bigger, more functional office space that will allow us to continue to push the envelope of what we can accomplish as a company.  I am so proud of our team and the opportunity we have been able to create for our clients and team members.  This expansion allows us to aggressively help our clients and team member reach our goals for 2013 and beyond." states Evantage, Inc. President Chris Auwarter.

Congratulations to Preston Schwab on his Promotion to Assistant Manager

Evantage, Inc. is proud to announce that on Friday May 17th, Preston Schwab was officially promoted to Assistant Manger.  Preston began his career just under 2 years ago as Evantage took on a project for Verizon.  Although Preston came it to Evantage with little Sales / Marketing experience, he quickly became a pacesetter for the program.

The in February of 2012, when Evantage took on a new program with Staples, Evantage, Inc. President Chris Auwarter chose Preston to be the first team member to learn and develop that program in Dallas.  He was chosen because of his willingness to take on new challenges, think outside the box, and his overall reliability.

"Over the past year, Preston has taken on numerous leadership roles, and has been a big part of the continued success and growth within our Organization." stated by Evantage, Inc. President Chris Auwarter

We congratulate Preston on his promotion, and are excited to see continued growth and success from him.

2013 Kick Off Meeting and Review of Awards

 CHARACTER, COMMITMENT, COURAGE

o

Those 3 words was the theme for our 2013 Annual Keys to Success, Kick-Off Meetings.  We held this year's event at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Atlanta, GA.  This event was held to recognize top performers in 2012, network with industry leaders and clients, as well as educate our team on high performance; which included hearing from guest speakers.

Here is a few photos of the event:

During our Organization Lunch, we were able to hear from a special guest speaker, Larry Dorfman.  Larry has been a successful entrepreneur in the Automotive industry for over 25 years.  Our team took extensive notes.  A big message he shared that will become our Theme for 2013 was: "What are you willing to tolerate in your business today, that will affect your bottom line tomorrow."  It was great to hear a strong message from Larry about keeping your standards high.

Character, Commitment, and Courage again was a big theme this year.  We are excited to continue to be a leading force as a industry leader Coast to Coast for our clients in 2013.  We know success isn't always easy, but by holding our standards high, and investing into our greatest assets, OUR TEAM-MEMBERS, we will strive to make Character, Commitment and Courage a theme all year long.

CHARACTER:  Doing the right thing, not the easy thing!
COMMITMENT: To our team and clients.  We will follow though on all of our commitments with purpose, determination, and tenacity.
COURAGE:  Success isn't always easy, but we will fight to always be the best we can.  No matter the challenge in front of us!

2012 is officially in the books!  What a great year here at Evantage, Inc.  Since we opened our doors in Dallas in 2006, we have seen growth expanding to 14 locations in 8 states, and we are now Coast to Coast!  We now find that heading into the new year  our reach four our clients are stronger than ever.  Our clients needs are higher and our results are better than any year previous.  Heading into 2013, we are in a strong situation to be a continual leader in the Outsourced Sales and Customer Acquisition Industry in Dallas and beyond!!!

Evantage, Inc. continues to be more innovative than ever.  We have expanded in 2012 alone to markets such as Chattanooga, TN, Detroit, MI, Houston, TX, and San Francisco, CA.  We have also opened a new retail division of our company in Dallas, TX and expanded with one of our existing clients in the Medical Supply field.

We asked some of our team members what highlighted their year in 2012 at Evantage, Inc.
Here are a few things that they found memorable:
- Touring the Dallas Cowboys Headquarters in Valley Ranch
- Traveling to Denver, CO for our Organizational Weekend and having Buffalo Burgers at a brewery in a small Colorado town on the foothills of the Rockies, along with attending the Sunday Night NFL game, Broncos vs. Saints at Mile High Stadium
- Hearing from ESPY's Jimmy V Award Winner and NCAA Wrestling Champion Anthony Robles at our Awards Conference in Atlanta, GA
- R&R Weekend in Miami, where we stayed at the same hotel as the Kardashians
- Our Co-Ed Soccer League for Operation Smile

2012 also provided our team members a real chance to give back to our community.  We helped bring in more toys for DFW Toys for Tots than any previous year.  We were able to participate in Make-A-Wish Foundations's Race for Wishes in Irving, TX for our 3rd consecutive year.  Lastly, we are undergoing several fundraisers for Operation Smile.  In 2012, we held a Silent Auction at the Social House in Addison, raffled an iPad at our Dallas Regional Leader's Meeting, ate some Genghis Grill, and participated in a soccer league to raise of $1700.00.

As we look ahead, we are excited about our future.  That future remains bright because we work with exceptional people.  We are so proud to work on a daily basis with so many motivated team members who care about integrity, performance, and making a difference.  We know because of all of you, 2013 will be another banner year!

2012 Dallas Fall Leader's Meeting!

What an incredible weekend!  Our team was blessed to host the 2012 Fall Regional Leader's Conference at the DFW Marriott in Irving, TX.  What a great turnout of over 400 team members who joined us to network, brainstorm and learn.  We were able to have our HR Team, Corporate Trainers, Assistant Managers, and Managing Partners join us in Dallas.  Evantage, Inc. President, Chris Auwarter hosted the event and we had 12 industry leaders speak to our team throughout the day.

One of the constant messages being shared was to keep developing yourself personally and professionally and to not wait till the New Year to start setting your "New Years Resolutions."

One lesson shared was a message from NBA legend Pat Riley..."There is a difference between Game Excellence and being Excellent in a Game."  The point was made that anyone can be excellent at one time, but Game Excellence is consistent, day in, day out results.  Great Message!

We were also able to recognize Top Leaders from across the region.  These were a select few that over the past 6 months have shown excellence in their work, but also the respect of their piers and management for their work.  Congratulations again to all those who were awarded a Top Leader Award!  We are proud of that achievement and you should be too.

The highlight of the event though was a raffle we did for an iPad.  The big winner though wasn't the winner of the iPad, but Operation Smile.  We sold raffle tickets, 1 for $5 and 6 for $20.  We were able to raise $1160 for Operation Smile in a 3 Hour Meeting.  Great job to those who helped out!

Evantage, In. 2012 National Awards Confernce

Wow, what a celebration of success.  Managing Partners, Assistant Managers, Administration, and Corporate Trainers from our offices throughout the US, came to Atlanta, GA July 27th - 29th for our National Awards Conference.  It was our biggest conference yet!  Our team members had a lot to celebrate.

During our morning session we were able to hear from industry leaders speak about principles to success.
Our team was able to hear how the Quality of your work separates you from others.
Treat everyone one you contact with Respect builds the right relationships.
Also, how Honesty and Integrity determines your results!

We also were able to here from Anthony Robles, 2011 ESPY Award Winner for the Jimmy V Award for Courage.  Here is Anthony's website if you would like to check it out:  http://anthonyrobles.com/
His motto is "Unstoppable" and spoke how negative things can poison your mind.  He spoke how vital is it to protect yourself from doubters and not let them "break you" when you are on your path to hit your goals.  We specifically enjoyed hearing his story about goal setting.  When he was in High School he wrote his goal of being a National Champion in NCAA for Wrestling.  Despite being born with one leg, he set his goals hi.  To this day he still carries around the sticky note he wrote his goal down.  It wasn't a mistake that he hit his goal!  Thanks again Anthony for speaking to our team!

In the evening we got a chance to hand out some hardware and celebrate some success!
We would like to congratulate all of our award winners and nominees!

Here are some of the Awards Winners!
Top Leader Awards:  Adam Drennan and Hayden Schoone
Achievement of Excellence for High Performance:  Casey Cavender
Top Pace-setting Team for AT&T U-Verse 1st Quarter 2012:  David Ahn
Most Improved Manager of the Year:  Chad Harpole
Consistency Manager of the Year:  David Ahn

Getting to Know Tania Pena!

This month, Evantage would like to once again introduce you to one of our team members.  We would like to recognize a key team member, who has been with our team since February.  This past weekend Tania Pena graduated with honors from Rochester Institute of Technology with her Bachelor's  of Business Management and a concentration in International Studies.  She was recognized by the University Thursday with a special dinner, which her family from El Salvador was able to attend! We are very proud of Tania, and can't wait to see her continue to grow her career with us!  Here is a little insight in Tania!

What was your background before Evantage?
I was born in El Salvador.  I grew up there, but since I was little I always had the vision to study abroad, especially in Spain.  My dad supported me on that idea, so when I graduated from high school I applied to University of Navarra in San Sebastian, Spain.  I was accepted and went to study there for 3 years.  Then I finished my career in Rochester, NY, which was part of the entire program.  Before going to Rochester, I did two internships in Spain, one for my college and the other one for Deloitte in Madrid.  I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology; my major is Business Management with a concentration in International Business.  After I finished my studies, I went to visit my family in El Salvador.  I decided to move to Dallas while I was there, and moved in February.  Once I moved to Dallas, I started applying for many jobs, but didn't take me that long to find the perfect one.  Evantage contacted me, I had the interview and they hired me. Now, here I am, s happy to be learning each day, and the most important thing is that I am having the opportunity to grow with this company.

You have been able to travel all over the world, where is your favorite spot?
I have two favorite places.  One of them is London, England.  I went there with my roommates when we where studying in Spain.  I fell in love with this city, it was amazing.  I liked the history, churches, city structure...everything is adorable there.  The second city is when I went with my family to the desert in Peru.  It is named Ica, it is part of the Atacama Desert.  This place is so beautiful, all desert.  I felt like in the movies, we drove boogies and did sand boarding.  The last one was one of the most original experiences that I have had.

Where would you still like to travel that you haven't been to yet?
I want to go to China to see the Great Wall.  I have read that history of it and that is why I want to go there. The other place is Egypt, to see the pyramids.  I still have time to go to both places.

What have you enjoyed most about working at Evantage?
What I enjoy the most is the fun environment and the ethical behavior.  To me, this means that we are really a team, that helps each other.  We are very professional, but at the same time we are a family.  I can say that this environment helped me to take the decision to start working here, and the environment makes me learn more and more each day.

What are your career goals?
The most important goal is to never stop focusing on my ethical behavior.  I personally think that without that I will not have to opportunity to grow my career.  I am positive that I want to open my own company, so growing personally and professionally.  I want to learn more each day so when I move up with the company I can teach others I will eventually coach and manage.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned so far at Evantage?
Without doubt I can say it is patience.  I am a very competitive person, and I want to learn and understand everything right away.  Right now I can say that life is not like that.  It takes time to learn, especially when we don't have any experience in what we are just starting.  I have learned that once I am working hard, everything comes when it comes.  Keep the course and always smile!

What are your hobbies, what do you like to do with your free time?
I love playing tennis; I could be playing the whole day.  I also like to read, as I said before, I want to know everything.  That is why I am always reading and trying to learn about everything.

Evantage, Inc. Building Business Relationships

Evantage, Inc. was founded in April of 2006 in Dallas, TX.  Sales and marketing has changed a lot these days, no longer are companies able to get by with telemarketing, direct mail, and advertising alone.  In today's day and age people are connected with personal relationships more than ever.  Word of mouth, and face to face sales has been a key for all companies, large or small to market products and services in this economy.

Many times, people don't know where to go to get the best deals, find about new products, or even who to trust.  When company President, Chris Auwarter founded Evantage, his vision was to provide other companies a professional and innovative way to reach the customer base.  Outsourcing is not a new concept but today it can be a real tool for Fortune 500 companies to quickly hit sales targets and launch new products.

"Since opening our doors we feel that we have been able to make a real difference in the Dallas area with helping several major Dallas based companies hit and exceed their sales goals.  Our team has also been able to market and sell some of the newest and best technology on the market.  We are proud that not only we have been able to help our clients grow, but also been able to be true partners with them in all areas.  The recognition our team has received for customer satisfaction scores says a lot about how in tune our team is to our clients." - Chris Auwarter

Here are several tips to help you build strong business relationships:

1.  Be yourself!  People do business with people they trust.  You can't pretend you are someone you are not. Some people you will hit it off right away and others will take some time, but don't try to be someone you are not.

2.  Approach each contact with the end in mind.  Your goal should be to build a long-term relationship.  Always expect success, and do your part to get there.

3.  Look for the Win-Win.  Relationships are about helping make each party better.  There shouldn't be a winner and a loser, strong relationships should be mutually beneficial.

4.  Show commitment to the other side.  Loyalty and Trust come from a commitment!

5.  Listen and Learn.  Expect to find out new things from the other party.  Keep in mind, 2 ears and 1 mouth, use them!

Focus and Intensity

It's been too long since we have posted a blog...

It has been a busy summer and early fall at Evantage, with expansions to Charlotte, NC and in 2 weeks we expand again to Denver, CO!

Every year it seems like we here all the time about New Years Resolutions, what you want to accomplish this year, then sometime in the Spring it is easy to lose that focus and intensity toward the goals and then they are forgotten.

Our challenge this year is instead of focusing on New Year's Resolutions, set some goals for yourself now at the beginning of November to have focus and intensity on your goals now, so come January you are farther ahead of where you expected to be, which in turn will lead you to even more success in 2012.

Here comes a BIG BANG in July!

It has been a great 1st half of 2011!  We are looking forward to a better 2nd half as well with more growth and expansion.

We have seen some great promotions this year!  Congrats to Collin, Casey, Alex, and Somak!  We look forward to your next promotions into Branch Management later on this year.

In June we had our National Awards Conference where the top manager was awarded a Range Rover Sport!  Congratulations to our Owners that picked up awards, Denise, David, Chad, and Chris.  Also great job to those winning Top Leaders pins, Matt, TA, James, Marcus, Drew, and Daniel.  Great job and all your hard work is paying off.

This year, we are on pace to double to 15 offices and we are exciting on expanding with our existing and new client base.  We are even getting into new industries and sales markets.  We couldn't have accomplished all of this without the help and support of our team...you guys are the best.

We have a charity that we are also focusing on this year.  For the next 3 months we are fundraising for Operation Smile.  You can go to our Facebook to find the donation page.

We also have our R&R Weekend coming up in September, this year Puerto Rico!  It should be fun.

As we focus on the second half of the year, let's keep in mind to keep a focus on the task at hand and continue to push hard to WOW our clients and help each other in our team!

Keeping Success Simple

This is one of my favorite photos I have ever taken.  It was around 5:45am on top of Haleakala Volcano on Maui.  I remember many things about that morning, how we woke up at 3:00 am to make the drive to get there before sunrise, the fact that although in Maui, at 10,000 feet up it was freezing cold, but the biggest thing I remember was how peaceful it was as the sun rose above the clouds that morning.  In Hawaii, it is known as the "House of God."  Hawaiian legend says that it makes a promise to move slowly across the sky so to be enjoyed by all.

It is a spectacular sight, and if you haven't seen it yet, I hope you will get the chance soon.  So many times, we can get caught up in the rush of finding success that we forget to enjoy the journey.  Many of us find success, and there are many ways people find their success, but all in all, the journey is to be enjoyed.  As you find your journey to your success remember to take a step back and enjoy the journey as well.

Find what you are passionate about, and enjoy the ride...if you feel high or low at this time in your career, keep in mind the journey is what matters.  Things change quickly and usually when you feel like you aren't making the progress you like, you are much closer to the finish line than you thought.  If you keep things simple, work hard, have integrity, always look to do the right thing, and be positive you will find your success.

Quote of the Day!

"You don't know what you don't know

Because if you knew but knew

You would have it

Because to know and not to have

Is really not to know!"

When you think about this quote, take a step back to think about your goals, life vision, career path, family, etc. It is a deep thought, but very simple and powerful at the same time.
Everyone is chasing something in life, a good family, happiness, freedom, more money, and many times we just say, keep working at it and you will get it. When you think about this quote, it also tends to show that you need to focuse on specific tasks and personal development to learn to be better at the things you currently aren't strong at.
Find a good mentor, surround yourself with people who are great at what you struggle to do. By focusing on what things are holding you back from your goals and taking the time to be honest with yourself about personal development, you will find that you can accomplish more.
Evantage, Inc. in an outsourced sales firm that specializes in helping Fortune 500 companies increase their market share through face to face sales. Since opening our doors in April 2006, we have expanded to 7 offices throughout 3 states.

Make 2011 Your Best Year Yet!

Have you ever stopped to think about what you have accomplished? So often with Today's economic hard times, we hear people talk about fustrations, fears, and worries. Because of this it can be hard believing that 2011 can become a great success. People don't realize that many millionaires are created during a recession. If you search online, you will find that companies such as Burger King Corp., Microsoft Corp., and MTV Networks to name a few were created during a economic downturn.

Take a few minutes or so to think about that, before you worry about how bad you think 2011 may be for you. To be successful in any time it takes a lot of dedication to your goals, hard work and vision. Keep in mind a few key principles to make this year your best.

1. Have a positive lookout on each and every day. Some days this might be harder, but a positive attitude can make you more attractive to customers you sell to, co-workers, and family and friends that you interact with on a daily basis.

2. Write down your goals daily. We all need a reminder now and then of what we want to accomplish. Keep your goals visible as a reminder of what you have set out to accomplish. Remember to make your goals as detailed as possible so they are easy to track.

3. Have a mentor. This should be someone whom you trust, who has great character and integrity. A person who will help you raise the bar and become better.

4. Lastly, make sure to reflect on your successes, even small ones. Sometimes we need to give ourselves a break and remember to feel good about all the hard work and things we have accomplished. Don't celebrate too early though, if you want to make 2011 Your Best Year Yet, it will take dedication and ambition to attain your goals.
